St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital

MPA developed the physician owned Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center which has since been sold to St. Mary’s Health Care System of Athens, GA (parent company is Trinity Health).

The hospital’s new name is St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital.  

 The hospital is a full service general acute hospital containing: 

  • 39 acre campus bordering I-85 at exit the Lavonia exit 73

  • 155,000 square feet

  • 56 private inpatient rooms

  • emergency department providing services 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, 14 treatment rooms, including 2 trauma rooms

  • critical care unit containing dedicated 8-bed critical care unit with vital signs telemetry

  • surgical suite containing 4 operating room suites, 2 endoscopy rooms, a 7-bay post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and a 14-bed outpatient surgery area.

  • mother/baby unit

  • imaging services containing digital x-ray, digital 3D mammography, 64-slice CT, MRI and ultrasound

  • sleep center

  • wellness center contains a full-service exercise facility offering a full range of cardio equipment (treadmills, elliptical machines, etc.), plus free weights and resistance machines with locker rooms and showers

  • Georgia Peach Café - open to the public with indoor and outdoor seating.
